The StrategyMatt Hayden has a reputation both as Dayton’s most creative catering chef and one of the region’s “serial entrepreneurs.” Yet status alone cannot sustain growth. So he asked us to cook up solutions to boost his catering business.
The DeliveryFirst, we developed a marketing strategy that helped him see his business in a new way. We sat down with Matt and explored future growth projections for catering in the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus markets. Together we realized Matt’s potential could exceed those projections. That’s when we challenged him to think outside the kitchen. Matt soon recognized an unmet need in the market: nutrient-dense prepared meals that would change the way people looked at their health. He called his new venture Meals from Scratch. While Matt went to work researching super foods, our team went to work launching his brand. Our design team created a clean, modern logo that would set Meals from Scratch apart from other corporate brands promoting “healthy choices.” Once we had a logo, we generated business cards, brochures, and packaging—and then we designed the website.
