The Future of AISO is Expertise at Scale.

Every week somebody tries to sell me the next AI tool that’s supposedly going to change marketing forever.

  • “This one writes blogs.”
  • “This one does SEO.”
  • “This one builds websites.”
  • “This one replaces your marketing team.”

And every week I find myself asking the same question:

What are you feeding it?

Because AI hasn’t replaced marketing. It has simply exposed who was creating real value and who was relying on shortcuts.

The funny thing is that everyone is out here looking for life hacks, secret prompts, and the latest AI workflow while completely ignoring the fact that the winning formula hasn’t really changed.

  • Know your industry.
  • Know your customers.
  • Create useful content.
  • Answer real questions.
  • Build trust.

We’ve been doing that for years.

The only difference today is that we can do it faster, more strategically, and at a scale that wasn’t possible before.

Take the veterinary white paper we recently created around rabies and leptospirosis in Ohio. Most people see a PDF. I see an AISO asset.

Inside that document are local events, expert insight, supporting research, common questions, visuals, statistics, and practical recommendations. It isn’t content for the sake of content. It’s a deep resource built around a topic people are actively searching for and asking AI about every day.

That matters because AI search doesn’t work like traditional search.

Google wanted keywords.
AI wants understanding.

Google wanted pages.
AI wants expertise.

Google wanted relevance.
AI wants confidence.

When someone asks ChatGPT if their indoor cat needs a rabies vaccine or whether their dog should get a leptospirosis vaccine, the answer is far more likely to come from organizations that have demonstrated authority on the subject than from a thin blog written to chase a keyword.

That is where I think a lot of businesses are missing the point.

They’re focused on the tool.

The opportunity is the content.

The businesses that win over the next five years will not be the ones with the coolest AI stack. They’ll be the ones that use AI to capture, organize, and distribute their expertise better than their competitors.

That’s why I believe white papers paired with YouTube content are becoming one of the most powerful combinations in AISO.

  • The white paper provides depth.
  • The video provides accessibility.
  • Together they create a knowledge asset that can be consumed by humans, search engines, and AI systems alike.

Nothing about that is a hack.

It’s the same thing great marketers, educators, journalists, and business owners have always done.

The difference is that today we have the ability to do more of it than ever before.

The companies chasing shortcuts will keep chasing shortcuts.

The companies building authority will keep winning.

My bet is still on authority.
